By a stroke of good fortune, Glenda soon found herself being recruited for a job as Assistant Director of Public Relations for the Hotel Sahara-Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada. She wrapped up her affairs in Portland and moved to Lake Tahoe with Stephanie, who was not yet a year old.

She became the Assistant Director of Public Relations for the Del Webb Hotel Sahara-Tahoe and is shown here working with entertainer Tiny Tim in a publicity photo. Note the armed guard. Tiny Tim fell in love with "Miss Glenda" and called her nightly for months, until she asked his agent to have him stop calling in the wee hours of the morning. A week later he met and fell in with "Miss Vicky" whom he married on the Johnny Carson Show.
